Wind Orchestra Recordings

Recording has been an integral part of the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra program.   To date, our ensembles have recorded three compact discs.   Click here to purchase your own copy.   To hear samples from the following discs, click the name of the sample.   You will require Windows Media Player software.   Any PC that has Windows 98 or better has that software - Macintosh users may need to download the Mac version of the player .

Celebrations (Spring 2001)

This recording was created to commemorate the 10 th anniversary of the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra.   The disc features some of the more popular selections performed by various versions of TYWO over its 10 year span, as well as contemporary classics recorded by the Concert Winds.

Recorded on March 11, 2001 at the River Run Centre, Guelph, Ontario.

The Planets (Spring 1996)
toronto youth wind orchestra / Women of the Bell'Arte Singers

This premiere recording of the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra features the combined forces of over 100 instrumentalists and voices in this unique performance of Gustav Holst's masterwork, scored in its entirely for wind ensemble and chorus.

Recorded on Saturday, March 2 and Monday, March 4, 1996 at the Metropolitan United Church of Toronto.
